School Physicals are being scheduled for all students in the Cuba School district on these dates: 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 17th, Thursday, July 10th and Tuesday, August 5th. These physicals will be held at the Grant Keime Memorial Trust Building. Grant Keime Memorial Trust provides this service free of charge to the students of Cuba School District. Dr. John McCarthy and Physicians Assistant, Becky Gorham, of Graham Medical Group will be the providers. Call 547-9700 to make an appointment.
Duvendack earns top healthcare management credential
Christine (Goehl) Duvendack, FACHE, Vice-President of Clinic Operations and Medical Staff Affairs at Graham Hospital in Canton, Illinois recently became a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the nation's leading professional society for healthcare leaders. Duvendack, who also serves as the clinic administrator of Coleman Clinic, has been employed by Graham Hospital since 2001."Because healthcare management ultimately affects the people in our communities, it is critically important to have a standard of excellence promoted by a professional organization," says Thomas C. Dolan, PhD, FACHE, CAE, president and chief executive officer of ACHE. "By becoming an ACHE Fellow and simultaneously earning board certification from ACHE, healthcare leaders can show that they are committed to providing high-quality service to their patients and community."
Fellow status represents achievement of the highest standard of professional development. In fact, only 5,400 healthcare executives hold this distinction. To obtain Fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academic and experiential criteria, earning continuing education credits and demonstrating professional/community involvement. Fellows are also committed to ongoing professional development and undergo recertification every three years.
Duvendack of Graham Hospital is privileged to use the FACHE credential, which signifies board certification in healthcare management and ACHE Fellow status. Duvendack and her husband, Rick, reside in Canton, Illinois with their four children: Jacquelyn, Andrea, Adam and Brian.
